The Tour begins when your plane lands at Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport in Tbilisi. Our representative will be there to greet you. We will start our tour by visiting Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi known as Sameba Cathedral. Sameba is considered as the main orthodox cathedral of Georgia. Then, depending on the time of your arrival at Tbilisi, we can next visit the Georgian National Museum (optional). This museum is located near the popular Liberty Square in the central avenue in Tbilisi called the Rustaveli Avenue.
After having lunch, we will be exploring the paved narrow streets of the Old Town district. After passing by the little cafes and souvenir shops, we will reach Sioni Cathedral. After visiting this Medieval Georgian church, we will walk to the Clock Tower. This unusual leaning Clock Tower was built by a famous puppeteers named Rezo Gabriadze. Rezo used the pieces of the structures in the Old Town that were destroyed by the earthquake to build this clock. On the hour, an angel statue comes out of the window above the clock and strikes the bell. Below the clock, a screen showcases a theater of the circle of life.
We will then walk to the steel and glass Bridge of Peace. From there, by getting on a Cable car, we will get to the Fortress of Narikala. This ancient fortress, built on a hill, overlooks the city and the Mother of Georgia statue. On our way down the hill, we will make a stop at Legvtakhevi Waterfall. Also, we will be visiting the only mosque of Tbilisi known as Tbilisi Mosque. Continuing our walk, we will come across Sulfur Bathhouses which source from Tbilisi’s hot springs.
